Dear Jennifer
I'm so sorry to hear of your/the world's tragic loss in your husband Richard's death,its a bitter blow to us all as fans of comedy,that this,the twice or so voted worlds funniest man has passed away.It is a bad and tragic loss for the entire world.My love and condolences go out to u Jennifer,and all his children.
I am at a loss of what to say,as u may remember,my dad is dying slowly of Motoer Neurone Disease,so I am in a similar situation as u and the kids,its heart and soul destroying to watch someone u love go down the pan in front of your eyes,and no matter what u try and do,u can't avoid the inevitable,they are on that slow boat to meet their maker.
Now the world has been robbed of 3 comic geniuses,2 of which have been voted the worlds funniest men,thats your Richard,Peter Cooke(also voted worlds top comic)and his partner Dudley Moore.If u haven't heard any of the last twos stuff,check out Derek and Clive,u can download their stuff from Limewire.com.Two honkeys with just as bad a mouth as Richard,equally as funny in an eccentric,satirical english way.
I know this must be a very painful time for u and his kids,but please remember,he is in a better place as he can't feel any pain no more,that is the only way u can look at it.I am coming to that reality check over my dad at the moment,in 5 years,he probably wont be here any more,and thats something my family and I have to deal with every day,to try and cope with that is a nightmare,as u well know.
Anyways,I've been rambling on in a typically english fashion,u probably have a million and one messages u have to read and try to answer,just remember,all of Richards fans(and i know they gotta be into their millions)hearts and colondolences go out to u and his family
Peace out Richard,and shine on u crazy diamond,as Pink Floyd would say,there is a star in the sky with Richards name on it!
Keep on shining Rich,the world will remember what a great and troubled man u were,u made us laugh at your downfalls and addictions,at a time when noone else dared speak about coke and all its troubles,Richard had the balls to stand on stage and tell everyone about him setting himself on fire,not many people would admit to that,no matter turn it into a comedy routine.
