did anyone catch American Idol last night

ok in the R&B world, there are a few rules about singing. and one is do not attempt to sing Reasons by Earth Wind & Fire and Silly by Deneice Williams if you ain't got no talent.

but last night Jose "Sway" Penala took on Reasons. AND OMG he rocked it completely, broke the door off the hinge, and put his foot up on the table w/mud on his shoes and ain't a damn thing you could say but WOW and can I get you something to drink

and Simon's comment: it was too pimpy (I guess because of how dressed). Simon's smoking the crazy whacked stuff because that performance was incredible. I actually looked up at the TV like who is that? but of course Paula and Randy were blown away.

would be interesting to see him go all the way, but he's talented enough to get a deal regardless of Idol.

and did you see he was in the bottom 2. I wasn't watching the TV, I never do, just listen to the voices and go "naaaah" or "hmmm not bad". but for this dude I snapped up and was going "wow"

Simon is definitely crazy. very few cats can hoop it up like Philip Bailey. and I think Sway was Philipino. the hat was player's club, but still he was very, very good.

the other cat who was the best, surprisingly Simon liked and said he was the best male vocalist ever on the show. forgot his name, but he sung Stevie Wonder's "If You Really Love Me". Randy was blown away, and rightly so. he nailed it.

OMG which cartoon character does this contestant remind you of?

Peppy Le Peaux or the little dog who followed Spike around. I can't quite place my finger on it, but it's definitely a cartoon character I grew up with.

dude's smile is like 3 miles longggggg, matter of fact, just call him 8 Mile and call it a day.

To be honest, I can not stand Simon - I think his name is? One of the judges? He hurts people's feeling too much. His whole personae makes me sick, so I do not watch the show because of him. I do watch the highlights on the news in the morning and saw that it was good.
