3 Years On........still 'BushWhacked' WWRD

Politics, religion, racism, sex, the weather... there's always lots to think about so there's always lots to talk about. Progressive ideas are encouraged but all opinions are welcome.

3 Years On........still 'BushWhacked' WWRD

Post by TomSongs »

WWRD= What Would Rich Do?
As we cross the 3 year mark in Iraq, we witness the continued arrogance of this administration.
It absolutely blows my mind that our great country hasn't figured out a collective way to stop the bullshit in Iraq and stop this administration from the litany of self serving and blatantly un-American/un-democratic maneuvers.
So much has been spoken and written and chanted and posted about Iraq yet change is not fast enough and people keep dying. As we mark this solemn anniversary and renew our vow to stop the runaway train, I'm optimistic that America is slow to move but "just about tired of the bullshit".

"BushWhacked"
http://www.tomsongs.com/images/Bushwhacked.wmv - Bushwhacked.wmv'

I served my time far away from the front lines
But I've seen them come and I've seen them go
Bullets fly when politicians lie and soldiers die that's war
Their fathers and mothers wake up crying in the middle of the night
Their hearts jump at every knock upon the door
Young Americans bleeding and dying in the middle of this fight
Still trying to figure out what the hell they're really dying for

Bushwhacked
and another soldier dies
They've been Bushwhacked
By a whitehouse war built on whitehouse lies
Bushwhacked
And by the time we realize
we've all been Bushwhacked
Another roadside bomb another soldier dies

If you close your eyes force yourself to look inside
Read between the whitehouse lies that we've all been fed
In the name of humanity they peddled our democracy
Claim they're trying to set Iraqis free
So far we've freed a hundred thousand dead
And their fathers and mothers wake up crying in the middle of the night
Their hearts jump with every knock upon the door
Soldiers and civilians bleeding and dying in the middle of this fight
Still trying to figure out what they're really dying for

They've been Bushwhacked
and another soldier dies
They've been Bushwhacked
By a whitehouse war built on whitehouse lies
Bushwhacked
And by the time we realize
we've all been Bushwhacked
Another roadside bomb another soldier dies
Bushwhacked
and another soldier dies
They've been Bushwhacked
By a whitehouse war built on whitehouse lies
Bushwhacked
And we're gonna lose a thousand more
Yeah we've been Bushwhacked
Maybe George should fight his own bullshit war

deepseas,
It's nice to meet you! We share the same views and frustration. What will it take to turn it around?

astonamous,
Texas Howdy!
I wrote BushWhacked during Thanksgiving following a conversation with a sad Mom that lost her son in Iraq.As I review my recent web traffic, it's interesting to see several ".gov" IP addresses on my reports. So I guess they can't claim ignorance for their actions. This administration makes me sad and angry and I'm to the point that I can't even look at these murderers on T.V. without wanting to put a chair through my set.
I was reading about Rumsfeld's millions made from Tamiflu after the birdflu fearmongering and I just don't understand how our country remains complacent and asleep.
