Norm Macdonald!
I love this guy! His standup, talk show appearances and tenure on saturday night live left me in stitches. I heard that RP did a cameo on the Norm show! Is this true? I wish I had seen the episode. Anyway, does anybody out there like Norm? I am fiending to hear some of his new material.
Oh, and I'm happy to say I got to watch his underrated movie Dirty Work being filmed. I got to see them shoot a scene with Chris Farley in it. It was so rad! That was also the first day Howard Stern was available in Canada, so you know it was one of my all time fave days.

NickFlanagan,
Yeah Norm is cool I liked Dirty Work and I also liked the underappreciated Screwed with Devito and Chappelle. He had a new show this past season that reminded me of Newhart.I caught the 1st episode and lost track ofit and by the time I knew it the show was cancelled I think the title was something like"A minute with Stan Hooper" or something like that.....
Hey I guess you get to see a lot of films in production up there in Toronto, don't you?

I went to Zimbabwe. I know how white people feel in America now; relaxed! Cause when I heard the police car I knew they weren't coming after me!

Re: Norm Macdonald!
smjmcomic,
Yeah, Bob Saget is a pretty funnily dirty guy in the stand-up I've seen of his. It was funny when I talked to him on the Dirty Work set; I'd seen this British sex comedy movie called Spaced Out that he had done the voice of a randy HAL-style Spaceship computer for. When I told him I owned the video, he asked me to burn it. And not onto a CD, but to physically burn the videotape.

NickFlanagan,
I remember seeing one of Norm's gigs years ago, maybe in the late 80's? He was talking about lying...
"You ever lie for no reason? A big lie spills out of your evil head there. Usually there's a reason like to protect somebody's feelings or to screw over a buddy. Just the other day somebody came up to me and said "Hey did you ever see that movie with Meryl Streep and a horse?" And you're like, yes. Then you say to yourself "Wait a minute, what the hell am I lying about over here. I stand to gain nothing by this lie."
He's cool... Didn't he get canned from SNL because the suits wanted him to stop bashing on OJ all of the time and he just wouldn't follow along?

NickFlanagan,
Hey, a young man named David created the www.norm-macdonald.com website devoted to the comic. Norm is a stand up guy, he was very nice to me before his show in Las Vegas this past June. Really nice man!. He signed a few photos for me and spoke to David on my cell. Hope to see you there!

Re: Norm Macdonald!
rsmayton,
Really, you didn't like Screwed? I loved it. But then again, I used to work for the owner of a sports franchise. My life parallelled that of the MacDonald character. So I laughed my ass off throughout the entire film. I could relate to everything he was going through. I've only seen Norm do stand up on a Best of Improv DVD. It was the set he did on dobermans. Hilarious stuff. Loved it. Something about his literal voice that makes me laugh. I liked his appearance on the Drew Carey show too as the bully...
