Final Bedtime for Bonzo and Ronnie

I do not wish to speak ill of the dead. In fact, I hope that Ronnie goes to heaven, because that's where he'll meet all the thouands of gay men who died of AIDS thanks to his do-nothing policies. Maybe he'll have some 'splainin to do. Mario Cuomo summed up Ronnie the best: He said Reagan made disliking the poor seem like a virtue. I remember when Ronnie was running for governor of California. When he spoke in San Jose "student agitators" threw rocks at him. It was later revealed that the Reagan camp paid those so-called students to throw those rocks. This is the man that Faith Hill called one of the greatest men to ever walk this Earth. Yep, Jesus and Ronnie. Faith, you're lucky there's a gay man alive to do your hair. The sad thing is, I'd take Reagan to what's in the White House today. Richard, forget about Nancy's p***y and start lickin Bush! We have to get him out of there. JS

You make some good points. I was talking to a guy tonight that thought Reagan was good...and bush was good... it's stuff like that people need to know. Politics---ain't it a bitch.

It's funny how history can end up.
It is truly sad that at this point in our country, I would take Reagan over Bush in a minute. I'm glad dude brought that stuff up on Reagan cuz time can make a muthafucka forget some things. I was 10 years old when Reagan took office and the very first thing I ever heard about him was that he was planning to take all the black people and ship them back to Africa!(true story!)
Some kid in class came with that rumor (or maybe it wasn't that big of a rumor ;p )that he probably heard at home, but I never forgot him saying that. And through the years, I remember Reagan never having any real compassion for the poor. I remember he was detested by most black folks I knew and I also remember him doing almost nothing for AIDS.

But this week, thousands have come out to say their final goodbyes to the man and even I was moved by his death and felt like, yeah...he'll be missed.

I guess this has more to do with who he was as a man and not who he was as a President.

Something Bush SORELY lacks.....a personality.
