Challenger explosion - 7th grade math class. Watched it on TV. Surreal day. The teachers were all so distraught.
Princess Di killed - in my room watching it on TV, getting ready for my friend's bachelor party.
9/11/01 - at work, following the events online. Finally went and found a TV and sat around with co-workers in stunned silence.

Challenger- I skipped school that day and when it happened I was rather upset that they interupted "The New 'Love American Style'" to show coverage of the tragedy.I was still young so I assummed they had an escape pod and that they would eventually turn up unharmed (maybe to much Star Wars) It was not to be so:(

Now I ask you... there is only one person in the world who claimed to see the first one on TV.
