dougdigitalpro,

As for Murphy I love 48 hrs, trading places, and coming to america. Thats about it. And with trading spaces I think anyone could have played that role. In Coming to America he played different charecters which was great but I have seen another particular actor do that in a particular movie called Which way is Up. Some friends were talking about their favorite comedians and Eddie Murphy was brought up particularly Delirious. They were quoting from it and I was just sitting there going "thats Pryor material, that's pryor material, and that's pryor material. I said how about Richard Pryor being a favorite and they would say he's not as good as Murphy. Go figure.
You want to buddy somthin',Buddy up on this here!

bingolong,

They are of a different generation. They were probably 13 when they saw "Raw" and were too young to remember Pryor. I'm of an older generation. i was Fifteen when i saw "Raw" and my mother took me to all of RP's movies since I was a baby. I remember her taking me the theater to see "Which Way Is Up" and "In Concert"

MisterTee,
Let me tell you like this, I'm just a lil' younger than you and just a bit older than rsmayton (Closer to rsmayton though).I remember all that stuff like you do (seeing WhichWayIsUp? in the theatre etc.)and they should too!!I don't care what generation they are from it takes a real idiot to say that Richard is not as good as Murphy!!!Come on man.:X

Regardless they are just uninformed not to know that Eddie's humor was influenced by RP.That's kind of like reading the book of Mathew and not knowing about GOD!!8-o

Besides this  symbol means I was just joking!!!

dougdigitalpro,

Yeah I saw that. I tried anyway. I turned it off too...No wonder he stole the identity of "shrek" from richard's character in "Stir Crazy". He didn't have shit else to go on. His best moments in that comedy "showcase" is when he was "imitating" Ricahrd.
